About

We are such stuff as dreams are made on, and our little life is rounded with a sleep.

Wir sind aus solchem Stoff wie Träume sind, und unser kleines Leben ist von einem Schlaf umringt.

Nous sommes de l’Ă©toffe dont sont faits les rĂŞves, et notre petite vie est entourĂ©e d’un sommeil.

(William Shakespeare, The Tempest)

DreamTalks are for those who have become aware that there might be something to wake up from.

For those who have had enough of dreaming one lifetime after the other, always feeling left with a longing for fulfillment and eternity – however beautiful and peaceful some periods of that dream might feel.

For those who want to find back to the true being we never really stopped to be.

DreamTalks will nor analyse, nor deny these dreams. DreamTalks rather seeks to stroll around the edges of this dream state, trying to grasp how this dualistic life-to-death appearance could arise and last, engendering this whole »stuff« we consider to be our stories and identities. The more we become aware of the illusive unreality of it all, the less we will invest in it and feel that we need it. Finally, we will become aware of a non-dualistic and uncompromisingly loving perspective – and the serial life-to-death dream will turn into a joyful dream, until we wake up once and for all.

We will actually concentrate on the original Podcast Audio Format, cultivating the art of listening in a world overstuffed with images.

As for the language we will stay on the case: English, of course, will be the main language, most people being able to understand, but there will be some German and French episodes, too.

»Me«

Called Jorinde Reznikoff in this lifetime, I’ve been through so many different life episodes, that I sometimes feel like a bridge between seemingly parallel or even opposed worlds. Grown up in an artistic and intellectual family, whose perfectionism formed the basic challenge of my life, I started to look for “ways out” at an early age. One day, after years of studying philosophy of art and mystics – especially in the tradition of Christianity and Zen Buddhism –, I found myself sitting on the floor of a contemplative monastery in the middle of Paris for some years. There, I ended up meeting my former husband, a great pioneer of sacred chant, with whom I got to share the practice and research of sacred art. Mother of three wonderful daughters, I struggled for years to find a way through the jungle of inner and outer expectations, finally left Paris and moved to Hamburg in 2002. In 2007, I was introduced to a whole new world – the world of imperfection, of Dada, Punk and Street Art. This liberating discovery was soon followed by being offered new opportunities – transmitting Radio talks, meeting and presenting fascinating artists, and translating books.

The final impulse to DreamTalks came to me from Gary Renard, one of the most radical teachers of non-dualistic spirituality of our time, a former rock musician, who is transmitting A Course in Miracles in a very light, humorous and loving way. To me, personally, these beautiful teachings have become my main orientation, but I’m very aware that – as every uncompromising awakening path – the Course teachings too are not about names and forms, but about the unspeakable essence and truth, for which words and signs can only be a transmission tool. So, even if I first thought that this encounter meant it might be time to leave my work and concentrate on “spirituality”, perhaps even solely on A Course in Miracles, I then understood that the diversity and openness this life has brought me to, might be a helpful opener for other people. This could be an opportunity to perceive the essence of spirituality from different perspectives and discover the shapes it takes in the various illusions we find ourselves in.

So – what is »spirituality«? If it is really about Spirit, Essence, Eternity, God, it has to be everywhere or nowhere.
